Dark Mermaid Photoshooting in Iceland

Dark Mermaid

Last Autumn I had again the great opportunity to travel to one of my favourite countries again: to Iceland. I can’t explain how much I fall in love with this beautiful island. On one hand it is the overwhelming nature, nearly untouched together with the rough wheather and the smell of clear air of freedom on the other hand it’s the feeling to come home and see creativity on all spots your eye is wandering.

So this time my luggage was very different from other travellers. I took a black mermaid tail, made by talented Arthemis Maskenbild and added a bra and a crown made by myself. This time we had tree wonderful models, so some more things I have to store in my suit-case. An outfit for our fisherman and as well a sea-fairy. Safely arrived in Iceland, the very next day we started our photoshooting at a black beach of great rocks and an rough atmosphere. But you can imagine how windy and cold can the North be. Luckily no rain this day! Model Hulda Lind was my brave dark mermaid model, cooperated by Bertmari my make up artist and model from thailand. I love when different cultures and countries act together creatively. And yes our fisherman was John Andersson (half icelandic, half american).

At our first set we were climbing with all the stuff through different rocks and stones, to escape a little bit of the tourists and to find spots without humans in the background. We fight with the wind but at the end I was very happy with the results. Second set we did at the rock, at least the sun came out a little bit. Thank you to all involved people for making a dream come true! Special thanks to Arthemis Maskenbild & Schnittmuskel for supporting me with outfits. Yours truly
